The Arrival of Lukas Edward Risse

Lukas Edward Risse was born on October 26th, 2008 at 10:38 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. Uncle Nick was visiting and we were out to lunch when the contractions began. We arrived at the hospital at around 3 in the afternoon and about an hour later was admitted to our labor and delivery room. Everything went smoothly, especially after the glorious epidural, although I still felt a good amount of pain so I'm guessing I should've given myself more of the epidural! Labor lasted about 7 hours and then there he was! He emerged with his fist up on his head and a nice loud cry. As soon as he was out the nurse threw him on my chest and I wasn't ready for it yet and got a nice slimy hand in my mouth :0 Anyways, I will post some pictures in order of birth up to now and try to keep updating as much as possible.
